Meet our Coaches

  • Anna Stephens, a native of Jackson, is a dynamic and accomplished individual with a passion for both sports and leadership. Born and raised in Jackson, she graduated from Jackson Academy, setting the foundation for her journey in academics and athletics.

    Her educational journey led her to Auburn University, where she excelled academically, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Dietetics. Anna not only dedicated herself to her studies but also showcased her athletic prowess as a valuable member of the Auburn University soccer team.

    Continuing her pursuit of excellence, Anna earned a master's degree in Sports Management from the University of Southern Mississippi, demonstrating her commitment to the strategic and administrative aspects of sports.

    Anna's impact on the volleyball scene became apparent when she founded the volleyball program at Jackson Academy. Over four seasons, she led the team to an impressive 65 wins and guided them to their first state championship, solidifying her reputation as a skilled and strategic coach.

    Her coaching journey extended to Madison-Ridgeland Academy, where Anna contributed her expertise for four successful seasons. Notably, Anna assumed leadership of the formerly known MS Impact Volleyball, transforming it into what is now recognized as MS Volleyball. Since 2014, she has played various integral roles within the club, showcasing her dedication to the growth and development of the sport.

    Outside of her thriving career in sports, Anna, alongside her husband Neal, has achieved success in the real estate sector, specializing in long-term rentals. As a real estate agent at Insight Group, Anna brings her passion for connecting with people and building relationships to the forefront of her professional life.

    Anna and Neal, proud parents of two children, Elle (7) and Paxton (3), call Jackson their home. The Stephens family is actively involved in the community and attends Grace City Church in Jackson. Beyond her professional and family responsibilities, Anna finds joy in her free time by indulging in her love for travel and engaging in tennis matches.

    Anna Stephens is more than a volleyball director; she is a multifaceted individual who combines her expertise in sports, leadership, and real estate, creating a remarkable impact in both the athletic and business realms.

  • Taniya Cavett was born and raised in Byram, Mississippi. Taniya played volleyball at the Mississippi University for Women as a right side hitter for two years until she transferred to Philander Smith University located in Little Rock, Arkansas. She ended her last year on a bang with her teammates by winning their (GCAC) conference championship.

    She’s currently working as the Assistant Coach for Forest Hill High School’s Volleyball team. In 2019, Taniya played with on our 18s team which she will now be coaching. She says “If I never played for MSV, I wouldn’t have made it to college ball”.

  • Riley Stephens is currently a junior, right side hitter at Millsaps College. Ryleigh is from Barnesville Ohio where she played Coach volleyball for club called South volleyball. She is a majoring in biology with a minor and a health and exercise science with future plans being a physical therapist. A fun fact about her is that even though she play volleyball now, she broke the record for most threes in a game and my high school for basketball.

  • Zoe Elder is from Starkville Mississippi and is currently a junior setter on the Millsaps Volleyball Team. She played club for level Elite Sport. She is majoring in bio chemistry, and then plans to go into the medical field. One fun fact about her is that her initials ZOE just like my name.

  • Lexi Morgan was born and raised in West Monroe Louisiana. She played tennis at Holmes community college. While at HCC, she was named NJCAA All-American and All-Academic and two time season MVP. After two years, she finished her degree at Mississippi State University.

    She teaches 8th grade science at Madison Middle School. She is the head middle school volleyball coach for the Lady Jags and the assistant tennis coach for Madison Centra. Sarah and her husband, Micah, have been married for about a year and a half and they live in Gluckstadt. A fun fact about Lexie is she has a nearly perfect photogenic memory!

  • Anna Capezzera is currently a Sophomore Outside Hitter for the Millsaps Majors College volleyball team. Anna is from Frisco, TX where she played club volleyball for Elevate Volleyball Club. She is majoring communications and sports media and pursuing a Master's in Sports Marketing. We are so excited to have Anna join the MSV staff this season. Her experience will help guide our 13's team and 17's teams this season.

  • Marquenette "Markee" Williamson grew up in Manteo, North Carolina, on the Outer Banks. She was a dedicated volleyball player, starting at Manteo Middle School and then excelling at Manteo High School. Her passion for the sport led her to play college volleyball at Greensboro College from 2012 to 2016. Markee was known for her skills as both a middle hitter and right-side hitter, and her dedication to academics earned her Academic All-Conference honors.

    Beyond her playing days, Markee ventured into coaching, contributing her expertise to Piedmont Volleyball Club in Greensboro, NC, as well as Manteo High School and Outer Banks Wave Volleyball Club. She currently works as a marketing manager for a vacation rental company. Markee is happily married to Justin Williamson, who coaches football at Belhaven University. A fun fact about Markee: She used to be a blacksmith!

  • Ellie Scott is from Clinton, Mississippi. She currently attends Millsaps College as a middle blocker for the volleyball program and a high jumper for track and field. She placed 3rd at the Southern Athlete Association (SAA) Conference Meet in 2023 for high jump. Ellie has five years of club volleyball experience and a summer of AAU. She assisted Clinton High School in the win of MHSAA 6A State Championship in 2019 and earned recognition as an All-Region athlete. She also competed in the state meet for track and field in 2020, in which her team won MHSAA 6A Girls Track and Field Champions. Ellie plans on majoring in Health and Exercise Science and furthering her education after graduating. A fun fact about Ellie is she modeled for 5 years!
