Anna Stephens
Anna Stephens graduated from Auburn University in 2007 where she played goalkeeper as a 4-year letterman on the soccer team. After college, Anna played a couple of stints in semi-pro soccer with the Atlanta Silverbacks and Fuego soccer teams. At Auburn, she received her degree in Nutrition and Food Science and continued to receive a Master’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.
 
Stephens has been coaching since her high school days in Jackson, MS. She started her coaching career at Jackson Futbol Club and has since served as Director of Goalkeeping at Tophat Soccer Club in Atlanta, goalkeeper coach for Millsaps Soccer, and served in several coaching roles at Jackson Academy. While at Jackson Academy, Stephens started the volleyball program and won the State Championship in 2014, finishing in the top 6 of all public and private schools in the state.
 
Currently, Stephens is serving as Managing Director of MS Volleyball club, which annually organizes hundreds of players in the Central Mississippi area.

Coach Stephens is also head volleyball coach at Madison-Ridgeland Academy. She is married to Neal Stephens, Executive VP of STEP, a K-12 learning intervention. Both are the proud parents of their daughter Elle.

Jaime Fisher
Coach Jaime Fisher enters her ninth season as the Majors head coach (2004, 2008-present). Fisher led the Majors to the semi-finals of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) conference tournament in each of the last three seasons including a championship match appearance in 2012.
 
In addition to coaching volleyball, Fisher serves as the Millsaps Senior Women Administrator, Title IX Coordinator and Compliance Coordinator. She also represents the Majors on the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division-III South Region Committee. 
Fisher (formerly Burns) is a native of Centennial, Colorado and earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in higher education from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) in 2002 and 2004 respectively. A four-year letter winner, she holds top 10 records in side out scoring in 5 categories; 3rd in total kills in a match, 6th in career total attempts, 7th in career kills, 8th in career digs,  and 9th in career aces.
Jaime and her husband Ta’Boris Fisher (a standout wide receiver at Ole Miss) reside in Jackson, MS with their son, Braxton. Fisher has won several state championships, one regional championship, and a national championship in competitive adult tennis after picking up the sport in 2010.

Justin Dee
Justin Dee is in his fourth season as Head Volleyball coach at Belhaven.

Over his first three seasons, Dee has rebuilt the Blazers squad and accumulated 33 victories, improving each season.

Entering his 10th season as a collegiate Head Volleyball coach, Dee has totaled 152 career wins. 

Dee spent the 2012 season at Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida where his team was a semifinalist in the 7A Florida playoffs.

Prior to arriving at Buchholz High School, Dee coached at Briarwood Christian School in Birmingham, Ala, leading the team to second and third place finishes in the state playoffs. Dee was named the 2009 Birmingham News Coach of the Year.

Dee is no stranger to the collegiate game, having spent time at Lyon College (AR) and Simpson College (CA). Dee coached at Lyon from 2004 through the 2007 and led the Scots to their first ever NAIA Regional Tournament berth.

During his stint at Simpson, Dee was twice named NCCAA West Region Coach of the Year and posted third and fifth place finishes in the NCCAA Nationals.

Genny Pezzola, Ph.D.
Genny is a native of California and started playing volleyball at 10 years old. She played at Saint Mary's College High School in Berkeley, CA as an outside hitter, and helped earn her high school program top honors including one State Championship Runner-up.

She continued her volleyball career at Swarthmore College, where she was a four-year starting outside hitter. She earned All-Centennial Conference First Team honors in 2009, 2010, and 2011, and was the first Swarthmore College volleyball player to earn first team honors three times. She broke Swarthmore College's hitting record and broke 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in her career. She was also the captain of the team for two years. She also played basketball at Swarthmore, and was the captain for one year. The teamwork, leadership, and time management skills obtained in her college athletic career helped her become an efficient graduate student after college.

Upon completing her 4 years at Swarthmore College, Genny went on to UC San Diego for her Master's degree. She played beach and grass volleyball for two years. After obtaining her M.S., Genny went onto the Georgia Institute of Technology to obtain her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering. While in Georgia, she continued to play beach, grass, and indoors volleyball in numerous tournaments. 

Genny now works for the US Army Corps of Engineers, at the Engineer Research and Development Center as a Research Civil Engineer. She works on a variety of projects focusing on force protection engineering. She has also run a few private volleyball clinics in Vicksburg, MS.

Raven Scott
Raven, a native of Louisiana, started her volleyball career with Hahnville High School in Boutte, LA. A four-year letter winner and a three year starter, Raven trained as a setter and a right side.

Building on her hardwork ethic and development potential, Raven was recruited to play at Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. Raven excelled at Millsaps early on, earning the honor of Freshman on the Year in her first year as a right-side hitter. Raven continued to grow earning All-Conference honors and the title of captain during her tenure.

Upon completing her 4-years at Millsaps, Raven remained in Jackson and served as the head volleyball coach for a local high school team for two years while teaching and earning her master's degree from The University of Mississippi. Raven then continued to grow her own skill set in 2015, moving to Spain to teach English and playing with a club team. She then returned to Millsaps, her alma mater, to serve as the assistant coach.

Raven now works for Strive, an education non-profit in downtown Wilmington, DE, teaching students to practice the leadership skills she herself had to learn and practice in her athletic teams. All of these experiences are embedded in her coaching philosophy to teach life skills through sports.

Eric McGowan
Originally from Florence, MS, Eric grew up playing volleyball recreationally in a friend’s back yard. As his love for the game grew, he looked for more opportunity in other states to play at a higher level, eventually pairing with several other elite athletes to compete elsewhere.

Eric began playing competitive beach volleyball in 2015, participating in beach doubles tournaments in Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi, placing gold and silver in several tournaments. Eric continues to play competitively while balancing his work and MS Volleyball responsibilities. After being highly recruited to the club, he joined Mississippi Volleyball out of an interest in raising the awareness of beach volleyball in Central Mississippi. Eric has now coached Indoor Volleyball with MSVB for one season and is head coach for the MSVB beach program.

Lauren Markle
Lauren Markle is a native of Peoria, Illinois. She played club volleyball for Sports Performance Volleyball Club for 5 years and placed 3rd at Volleyball Junior Nationals in 2003 and 2005.

Lauren played collegiate Volleyball at the University of Montevallo in Alabama from 2005-2009, where she graduated with a degree in Business Management and was the Volleyball Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2009. Lauren was the Volleyball Graduate Assistant coach at Mississippi College from 2010-2012 while earning her Masters in Business Administration.

This will be her 9th year of coaching club volleyball. She has been giving private and group volleyball lessons for 6 years. She currently works at D1 Jackson in Madison, MS, as the Facility Support Specialist and as the Volleyball Strength and Skills Coach and is USAW Certified.

Erica Bennett
Erica is from Slidell Louisiana. She attends Millsaps College and will be a Junior majoring in Religion studies/SOAN dual major with a math and theater minor. Erica is a member of the Millsaps volleyball team and was named second team all-conference for the 2017 volleyball season. 

Erica helped coach MS Volleyball Fall Academy in 2017 and has coached many other team and individual camps in Mississippi during her time in Jackson.

Molly Boyer
Molly Boyer will be a graduating Senior at Belhaven University in the fall of 2016 where she played 3 years with the Belhaven Volleyball team.  She previously played one semester at The University of Texas at Tyler in 2012.  During her 3 years at Belhaven, Boyer competed in 92 matches, as a middle blocker.

Boyer is originally from Slidell, LA and attended Northlake Christian School in Covington, LA.  There she was a part of a 3 consecutive year State championship volleyball team. During high school, Boyer played for Louisiana Volleyball for 5 years under Jimmy Miranda.  She also served as head volleyball coach for 1 season with Louisiana Volleyball.

Carly is from Olive Branch, MS and graduated from Lewisburg High School in 2017. She was selected as a 2016 high school all-star, and carried her team to 2 state championships in 2014 and 2016. She played club for 7 years with MVA and Memphis Juniors.

Carly is currently in her sophomore year at Millsaps College, where she is a setter on the volleyball team. She plans to receive a double major in education and religious studies with a minor in history.

Lauren Worrell
Lauren Worrell is the head Coach at Northwest Rankin High School. She is also a PE teacher at Northshore Elementary.

Growing up in Alabama, she played high school volleyball and club in Birmingham. She went on to play volleyball at Faulkner State Community College then transferred to the University of Alabama and graduated in 2016.

She has coached at Eastern Shore Volleyball Club for one year, Club Crimson Volleyball club for four years, Tuscaloosa County High School as the JV coach and assisted at Tuscaloosa Academy.

Ashley Zamjahn
Ashley graduated from Millsaps College May 2018 with a BS in Mathematics. Currently works for Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company as an Actuarial Analyst. This is Ashley’s 5th year coaching for MS Volleyball. Played 4 years at Millsaps College. She was a two time SAA defensive player of the year, three time SAA all conference and two time AVCA all region. She won the Carla Webb Award for Millsaps Athletics, given to the most outstanding female athlete. Totaled over 2,000 digs in her career as a Major, and holds the highest total career digs in the SAA. Originally from New Orleans, LA. Attended St. Mary's Dominican High School and played varsity volleyball and basketball.

Elena Johnson
Elena is from Nesbit, MS, and is an alumna of Lewisburg High School. Johnson comes from a coaching family background: her father is a football coach and her mother is a volleyball coach. While at Lewisburg High she was the starting middle blocker, and led the team to 2 State Championships and 1 Runner-up Title.

Johnson continued her volleyball career playing middle blocker for Tougaloo College and is currently enrolled locally in nursing school.

Shelby Marsh
Shelby Marsh is from Dallas, TX, where she played club for 7 years at Skyline Juniors, Dallas Premier, and Excel Volleyball Club. She was also a part of the 2014 State Championship team at Bishop Lynch High School.

Shelby graduated from Millsaps College in 2018 with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Spanish. At Millsaps, she was a setter for the Majors, playing in 92 matches over 4 seasons and holding over 1,900 career assists. She was ranked 2nd and 4th in conference for assists per set her last two seasons at Millsaps College.

Shelby has been coaching for 6 years and is returning to Mississippi Volleyball after coaching in the 2015 season. She also coaches at high school summer programs and club clinics in Dallas and summer camps at Millsaps College.

McKenzi Petricko
McKenzi Petricko is from Colorado Springs, Colorado and currently a junior at Millsaps College pursuing a degree in biology. She plans to be a physical therapist and eventually move back to her home state of Colorado. She has been playing volleyball since the 6th grade and was a 4 year starter for her high school basketball, golf, and volleyball teams. She is an outside hitter for the Millsaps Majors and has been named to the SAA Academic Honor Roll every year. She also works for her former club team Hot Shotz when back home.

Kaitlyn Kennedy
Kaitlin, a native of Alberta, Canada, started her volleyball career in the ninth grade. She trained as a right-side hitter and setter. She played club and school volleyball. She helped her high school team to win the City Championship in 2009. Her club team medaled in their Provincial championships several times throughout her career. Annually her club team would travel and compete in international tournaments.

In 2012, Kaitlin received an athletic scholarship to the University of Mobile as a setter. She played all four years. She was awarded the Southern States Athletic Conference All-Academic Team 2013-2016, and the Champions of Character in 2015. She graduated in the spring of 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.

Currently, Kaitlin just finished her first season Jackson Prep as the middle school volleyball coach. She is a personal trainer and wellness advocate. She has over 8 years coaching experience.

Susannah Williams
Born and raised in Tyler, Texas, Susannah spent most of her adolescence wearing a jersey. In 2013, she packed her bags and moved to Jackson, MS, to continue her volleyball and basketball careers at Millsaps College. Susannah enjoyed 4 great seasons as a Millsaps Major and served as both a middle blocker and right side. During her time at Millsaps, she was also a Presidential Ambassador (2 years), a member of Phi Mu Fraternity (4 years), the President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (2 years), and the recipient of the 2017 Who’s Who Among Students award.

After receiving her degree in Communication Studies, Susannah remained in Jackson to forge her career path. She is currently a Marketing Specialist at the Office of the Mississippi State Treasurer. Susannah also serves on the Millsaps Alumni Association Board of Directors. She is very excited to join the Mississippi Volleyball family, and can’t wait to see what is in store for her and her team!

Katie Thomas
Katie is from Memphis, TN, and graduated from White Station High School in 2018. During her high school career, she was chosen for The Commercial Appeal Best of the Preps list 3 times. She played 7 years of club volleyball at Memphis Metro JVC.

Katie is currently a freshman setter at Millsaps College. She plans on majoring in Biology.
